We have some exciting workshops coming your way this April
Chai and Chat – Be Here Now – 48h Access
Grab a cup of masala chai or herbal tea and let’s explore the deeper potential of surrender.
In this month’s meditation we will explore the maxim Be Here Now and look at how to be present.
Be Here Now is an invitation to the present moment but has become bumper sticker philosophy – but is it possible to be ‘in the now’ all the time and why do we judge or berate ourselves when we are not? Even in meditation, our minds are often working away taking us in and out of the present moment. We should not judge our meditation by how many thoughts we have – but how we can bring our awareness back to the momentary awareness of breath or anchoring awareness in the body.
Viriam shares the philosophy on Himalaya Yoga Valley’s teacher training programme. She has been teaching yoga and meditation since 2003 and has trained in several breathwork modalities, ayurveda, yoga nidra, mindfulness and restorative yoga in recent years. Viriam’s teaching focus is to invite her students into a deeper awareness of themselves through movement, meditation, mantra and self inquiry.
